Setting a Resistance Range
The bike resistance levels are low, medium, and high. Within each setting, 25 levels of resistance are available, but the chosen setting affects the overall resistance range.
To set a resistance range:
1.At the S E T R E S I S T A N C E R A N G E prompt, press OK and use the navigational arrow keys to choose L O W , M E D I U M or H I G H (L O , M E D , or H I on some equipment).
2.Press OK to accept the displayed setting and move to the next feature.

H I or | • Provides the full range of resistance available. |
H I G H | • Provides enough resistance to simulate sprinting |
| or hill climbing or for users who want to stand on |
| the bike while pedaling. |
| • Provides enough resistance for elite riders that |
| are capable of spinning at high speed with high |
| resistance. |

M E D or | • Provides approximately two thirds of the |
M E D I U M | resistance that is available within the high group |
| setting. |
| • Select the medium range for recumbent bikes. |
| • A medium range allows users to make easier |
| resistance changes in the preset programs. |

L O or | • Provides approximately one third of the |
L O W | resistance that is available within the high group |
| setting. |
| • Appropriate in special situations where poorly |
| conditioned users are anticipated. |
