Modifying or tampering with the System 2100’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate it. If your System 2100 is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance. If the trouble is harming the telephone lines, the telephone company might ask you to disconnect the System 2100 until you have re- solved the problem.

LIGHTNING

This system has built-in protection circuits to reduce the risk of damage from surges in telephone line and power line cur- rent. These protection circuits meet or exceed the FCC re- quirements. However, lightning striking the telephone or power lines can damage your telephone.

Lightning damage is not common. Nevertheless, if you live in an area that has severe electrical storms, we suggest that you unplug the System 2100 during storms to reduce the possibility of damage.
