Playing Discs

Regional Coding

Both the HD DVD player and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for the disc to play. If the codes don’t match, the disc won’t play. This player’s code is region 1.

Image Constraint Warning Labels

Some content providers may use an Image Constraint Token (ICT) for HD DVD movie titles played through an analog connection. An ICT constrains the picture to half the resolution of a full HD picture. If an ICT

is used, the content provider is required to put a warning label on the disc to let consumers know of the limitation.
