Lauko gylis

Labiausiai žmonių vertinamos portretinės ar natiurmortinės nuotraukos yra tokios, kuriose fonas yra nesufokusuotas, taigi objektas atrodo ryškus. Priklausomai nuo sufokusuotų sričių, nuotrauka gali būti susiliejusi arba ryški. Tai vadinama„mažu DOF“ arba„dideliu DOF“.

Lauko gylis yra sufokusuota sritis aplink objektą. Taigi mažas DOF nurodo, kad sufokusuota sritis yra siaura, o didelis DOF reiškia, kad sufokusuota sritis yra plati.
