Learn to configure your camera's settings.

To set Setting			In Shooting or Playback mode, press [m] → q→
options,			an option.
			* Default
Item	Description
	• System Volume: Set the sound volume or turn all sound
		off entirely. (Off, Low, Medium*, High)
			Even if the system volume is turned off, the camera emits
			the sound while playing a video or a slide show.
	•	AF Sound: Set the sound the camera emits when you
		half-press the shutter button on or off. (Off, On*)
Sound	• Button Sound: Set the sound the camera emits when
		you press the buttons or touch the screen on or off.
		(Off, On*)
	•	E-Shutter Sound: Set to emit a sound when you use the
		electronic shutter. (Off*, On)
			• The camera emits a sound only when the shutter speed
			is longer than 0.5 second.
			• This option may not be available in Smart mode.
Quick View	Set the Quick View time length–the amount of time the
	camera displays a photo immediately after you capture it.
	(Off, 1 sec*, 3 sec, 5 sec, Hold)

Item	Description
		Adjust the display brightness, auto brightness setting,
		display color, or level gauge.
		•	Brightness: You can adjust the display brightness
			manually.
		•	Auto Brightness: Turn auto brightness on or off.
			(Off, On*)
Display		•	Display Color: You can adjust the display color manually.
		• Horizontal Calibration: Calibrate the level gauge. If the
Adjust
			level gauge is not level, position the camera on the level
			surface, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
			• You cannot access the Horizontal Calibration option
			in Playback mode.
			• You cannot calibrate the level gauge in portrait
			orientation.
Auto Display		Set the display off time. The display turns off if you do not
		use the camera for the time you set.

		(Off, 30 sec*, 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min)
