USING THE FLASH
Using the flash, you can capture clear and bright photos even in shadows, at night, or indoors which need more light.

Select the Photo record ( ) mode by pressing the MODE button. page 27
Press the Flash ( ) button repeatedly to select the flash mode you want.

| • Select a flash mode and press the PHOTO button. The camcorder performs a |

| sure the recording conditions (distance from objects and amount of light) are acceptable. Do not |
| |||
| move until the second flash occurs. |

| • As using the flash consumes more power, the more you use the flash, the shorter the battery time. |
| |||
| • The flash usually recharges within 5 seconds. However, it may take longer to charge the flash when |
| |||
| the battery is low. |
| |||
| • You can capture bright and clear photos within the recordable range when you use the flash. |
| |||
| • When you record a strongly reflecting object or an object out of the recordable range, the |
| |||
| camcorder can not capture bright and clear images. |
| |||
| • When you use the flash in a dark place, foreign substances such as dust can be reflected in the |
| |||
| light from the flash, so that blur, white dots, round dots, or white circles may appear on the images. |
| |||
| This is not a malfunction of the camcorder. |
| |||
| • You cannot use a flash under the following conditions: |
| |||
| - when using the continuous shooting function | 47 | |||
| - when capturing photos in the video record mode. |
