――HDBase-T fonctionne avec des câbles à paire torsadée non blindée (UTP) ou blindée (STP), mais, pour des raisons de conformité aux normes CE, des câbles et des connecteur STP sont requis. Il est recommandé d'utiliser des câbles et des connecteurs blindés pour prévenir tout bruit électrique environnemental susceptible de réduire les performances.

Il est recommandé d'utiliser un câble STP pour optimiser les performances. L'utilisation d'un câble ou d'un cordon de raccordement UTP peut réduire les performances.
