Begriffe

Punktabstand

Das Bild auf dem Monitor besteht aus Punkten in den Far-

 

ben Rot, Grün und Blau. Je enger die Punkte, desto höher

 

die Auflösung. Der Abstand zwischen zwei Punkten der

 

gleichen Farbe wird als "Punktabstand" bezeichnet.

Vertikalfrequenz

Der Bildschirm muss mehrmals pro Sekunde neu aufgebaut

 

werden, um das Bild für den Benutzer aufzubauen und an-

 

zuzeigen. Diese Wiederholfrequenz wird als Vertikalfre-

 

quenz oder Bildaktualisierungsrate bezeichnet. Maßeinheit:

Beispiel: Wenn ein Licht 60 Mal pro Sekunde aufleuchtet,

 

so bezeichnet man diese Frequenz als 60 Hz.

Horizontalfrequenz

Die Zeit zum horizontalen Abtasten einer Zeile zwischen

 

dem linken und rechten Bildschirmrand wird als horizontaler

 

Zyklus bezeichnet. Der Kehrwert des horizontalen Zyklus ist

 

die Horizontalfrquenz. Maßeinheit: kHz

Interlaced und Non-Inter-

Wenn alle horizontalen Zeilen auf dem Bildschirm na-

laced-Modus

cheinander von oben nach unten angezeigt werden, so

 

arbeitet der Bildschirm im Non-Interlaced-Modus. Wenn

 

zuerst alle ungeraden und dann alle geraden Zeilen ange-

 

zeigt werden, so arbeitet er im Interlaced-Modus. Die meis-

 

ten Monitore sind Non-Interlaced, damit ein klareres Bild

 

angezeigt werden kann. Der Interlaced-Modus entspricht

 

dem in Fernsehgeräten verwendeten.

Auflösung

Die Anzahl der horizontalen und vertikalen Punkte, aus de-

 

nen der Bildschirm aufgebaut ist, wird als Auflösung be-

 

zeichnet. Diese Zahl gibt die Genauigkeit der Anzeige an.

 

Eine hohe Auflösung ist gut, wenn mehrere Aufgaben

 

gleichzeitig ausgeführt werden sollen, denn dadurch kön-

 

nen mehr Bildinformationen auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt

 

werden.

 

Beispiel: Wenn die Auflösung 1920 x 1080 Punkte beträgt,

 

wird die Bildschirmfläche aus 1920 Punkten in der Horizon-

 

talen (horizontale Auflösung) und 1080 vertikalen Zeilen

 

(vertikale Auflösung) gebildet.
