•Modo normal : Este modo es adecuado para las condiciones normales. Tanto el rendimiento del sistema como el tiempo de uso de la batería están optimizados.

•Modo rendimiento máximo : Este modo es adecuado para aquellas condi- ciones que requieren el máximo rendimiento del sistema. Por este motivo, el tiempo de uso de la batería puede verse reducido.

•Modo personalizado: En este modo un usuario puede definir una configuración detallada para ahorrar el tiempo de uso de la batería. Se puede ajustar el brillo del LCD, el tiempo de suspensión del sistema, la calidad del color de la pantalla y los valores del modo gráfico.

Efecto del ahorro de energía

Muestra el tiempo relativo de uso de la batería de cada modo de energía. Cuanto más efectivo sea el ahorro de energía, más prolongado será el gráfico.

Al ejecutar un juego o una aplicación multimedia

Es posible que un juego o una aplicación multimedia no funcionen del modo adecuado en el modo de ahorro máximo de la batería. Está recomendado su uso cuando se conecta un adaptador de CA o en los modos normal y superior.

Apagado de los dispositivos innecesarios

Apagar los dispositivos innecesarios alarga el tiempo de uso de la batería.

Seleccione Inicio > Panel de control > Rendimiento y mantenimiento > Sistema > pestaña Hardware y haga clic en Administrador de dispositivos. Haga clic con el botón derecho en el dispositivo que desea desconectar y seleccione 'Deshabilitar' (por ejemplo, LAN inalámbrica, 1394 etc.).

Calibración de la batería

Si carga y descarga la batería repetidamente durante cortos espacios de tiempo, el tiempo de uso de la batería se puede reducir por la diferencia entre la carga real de ésta y la muestra de carga restante. En tal caso, la carga real de la batería y la muestra de carga restante serán idénticas cuando se descargue completamente la batería mediante la función Calibración de la batería y cuando se vuelva a recargar.

1.Desconecte el adaptador de energía de CA después de desconectar el sistema.

2.Vuelva a iniciar el ordenador y pulse <F2> para introducir la configuración BIOS.

3.Mediante las teclas de flecha, resalte Smart Battery Calibration en el menú de Boot. La función de Calibración de la batería se activa y la batería es forzada a des- cargarse.
