About the storage media

SELECTING THE STORAGE MEDIA (SMX-F53/F54 only)

•You can record on the built-in memory or a memory card, so you need to select the desired storage media before starting recording or playback.

•You can use SD and SDHC cards on your camcorder. (Some cards are not compatible depending on the memory card manufacturer and memory card type.)

•Before inserting or ejecting a memory card, turn the camcorder off.

•If you insert a memory card when the camcorder is on, the pop-up message will automatically prompt you to select the storage type. (SMX-F53/F54 only)

•If there is no memory card inserted, only the built-in memory will be available. (SMX-F53/F54 only)

•Do not eject a memory card while it is being used in the camcorder. The memory card and its data may be damaged.

•Do not remove the power (battery or AC power adaptor) when using storage media to recording, playback, format, delete, etc. The storage media and its data may be damaged.
