Press the POWER ON/STAND-BY button on the top control
or on the remote control. “Power off?” appears on the
screen. Press the POWER ON/STAND-BY button again to
turn off the projector.
When the Power off confirmation function is set to “Off,
the projector can be turned off without the confirmation
message. (See “Power off confirmation” on page 40.)
The automatic slide shutter closes and the POWER indicator
starts to blink red. The blinking continues for about 90
seconds while the cooling fans are running.

TO MAINTAIN LIFE OF LAMP, ONCE YOU TURN PROJECTOR
ON, WAIT AT LEAST FIVE (5) MINUTES BEFORE TURNING IT
OFF.
DO NOT UNPLUG AC POWER CORD WHILE COOLING FANS
ARE RUNNING OR BEFORE POWER INDICATOR STOPS
BLINKING. OTHERWISE IT WILL RESULT IN SHORTENING
LAMP LIFE.
2When the projector is cooled down enough to be turned on
again, the POWER indicator stops blinking. Then you can turn
the Main On/Off switch off and unplug the AC power cord.
“Power off?” disappears after 4 seconds.

TurningOff the Projector

Note:
Ifthe automaticslide shutteris closedduring operation,the
projectoris automatically turned off for safety. Be sure to turn off
theprojector by pressing the POWER ON/STAND-BY button on the
topcontrol or on the remote control after use.
Whilethe POWERindicator isblinking, thelamp isbeingcooled
downand the projector cannot be turned on. Wait until the POWER
indicatorstops blinking to be turned on again.
Therunning speedof coolingfansis changedaccordingto the
temperatureinside the projector.
Ifthe WARNINGindicatorblinks oremits redlight, see“Warning
Indicator”on page 44.
Donot putthe projectorina casebefore itis cooledenough.
Basic Operation
DO NOT OPERATE THE PROJECTOR CONTINUOUSLY
WITHOUT REST. CONTINUOUS USE MAY RESULT
INSHORTENING THE LAMP LIFE. TURN OFF THE
PROJECTOR AND LET STAND FOR ABOUT AN HOUR IN
EVERY 24 HOURS.
