Changing the TextGreeting

The textgreeting can be up to 15 characters and is displayed
on your phone’s screen in standby mode. You may choose to
keep the phone’s defaultgreeting (“Sprint”), or you may enter
your own custom greeting.
To display or change your greeting:
1. Select > Settings > Display > Greeting > Custom.
2. Enter a custom greeting using your keypad and press .
(See “Entering Text”on page 39.) (To erase the existing
greeting one character ata time, press .
To erase the entire greeting, press and hold .)

Changing the BacklightTime Length

The backlightsetting lets you select how long the display
screen and keypad remain backlitafter any keypress is made.
To change the Main LCD or Sub LCD backlightsetting:
1. Select > Settings > Display > Backlight.
2. SelectMain LCD or Sub LCD.
3. Select
Always On
,
Dim Only
, or a presetlength of time.
To change the Keypad backlightsetting:
1. Select >Settings > Display > Backlight > Key.
2. SelectAlways Off or a preset length of time.
Note: Long backlightsettings affectthe battery’s talk and standby
times.
Note: The Always On setting returns to the previous value the next
time you turn on the phone.
