2.Configure termination.

LC model drives are designed for installation in host sys- tems that have a backplane with single connector attach- ment (SCA) connections. Termination is normally provided on this backplane. Check your host system documentation for details.

• You can use this drive in host systems that do

not have a backplane with SCA connectors by using a SCA to wide SCSI-2 adapter. These adapters separate the interface lines from the power lines. If

you use such an adapter, proceed with step 2 of the installa- tion instructions provided for LW model drives.

Note. Host systems designed to use LC drives normally provide termination power from the host adapter or other source. LC model drives cannot be configured to provide termina- tion power to the bus.
