The three-step zigzag is a combination zigzag and straight stitch. You may use

the three-step zigzag everywhere you would use the basic zigzag stitch. It

has more strength, elastimty, and is flatter than a regular zigzag.

-mending

-sewing patches smoothly and securely.

--repatring strmght tears.

--finishing seams.

Seam Fimshmg (Overcasting)

Place the fabric under the presser foot so that the edge will be slightly reside the right hand side of the presser foot.

Guide the work so the right hand stitches fall at the edge of the fabnc.

Mending

Position the tear under the needle so that the stitching will catch both sides.
