TROUBLE-SHOOTING AND STORAGE

Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that
applles, and follow the steps listed. If further aeelstance !s needed, call our Customer Servlce Department

1.SYMPTOM: THE POWER DOES NOTTURN ON
a. Make surethat thepower cord is plugged into a properly grounded outleL (See HOW TO PLUG IN THE
POWER CORD on page 7.) If an extension cord is needed, use onlya 14-gauge general-purpose cord of
five feet or less in length.
b. After the power cord hasbeen pluggedin, makesure that the safety key isfully inserted Intothe console.
Various indicators onthe console should light. (See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 7.)
c. Check the circuitbreaker locatedon thetreadmill near the
power cord. If the switch prOtmdee as shown, thecircuit break-
er has tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, waitfor five min-
utes and then press the switch back in.
d. Check the on/off switchlocated on the treadmillnear the
power cord. The switch mustbe inthe ON position.
2. SYMPTOM: THE POWER TURNS OFF DURING USE

a. Check the circuitbreaker located on the treadmill near the power cord. If the circuitbreaker has tdpped (see
the drawing above.), wait for five minutes and then press the switchback in.
b. Make surethat the powercord is plugged in.
c. Remove thesafety key from the console. Reinsert the safety key fully into the console. Vadous indicatorson
the console should light.
d. Check to make sure the on/off switch is in the ON position. (See 1.d. above.)
e. If the treadmill stillwill not run, please callour Customer Service Department.
3. SYMPTOM: THE PULSESENSOR DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY
a. Make surethat yourthumb is properly positioned (see PULSE Displayon page 10), and that you are apply-
ingthe proper amount of pressure to the sensor. Stand stillwhile measuring your pulse.
4. SYMPTOM: THE WALKING BELTSLOWS WHEN WALKED ON
a. If an extension cord is needed, use only a 14-gauge general-purpose cord of five feet or less in length.
b. If the walking beltis overtightened, treadmillperformance may
decrease andthe walkingbelt may bepermanently damaged.
Remove the safety keyand UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
Using the 3/16" allen wrench, turn both rear rolleradjustment
bolts counterclockwise, 114of a turn. When the walking belt is
propedy tightened, youshould be ableto lift each side of the
walking belt 3-4 inches off the walking platform. The center of
the walking belt shouldjust touch the walkingplatform. Be care-
ful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord,
insert the safety key and runthe treadmill for afew minutes.
Repeat untilthe walking beltis propedy tightened.
c. If the walking belt stillslows when walked on, please call our CustomerService Department. 11
