Locatethe Reed Switch (18) and the Magnet (101) on
the leftside of the Pulley (78). Tum the Pulley until the
Magnet isaligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure
that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed
Switch isabout 1/8". If necessary, loosen the 3/4"
Screw (24) and move the Reed Switch slightly.
Retighten the Screw. Re-attach the hood, and runthe
treadmillfor afew minutes to check for a correct
speed reading.

PROBLEM: The walking belt slows when walked on
SOLUTION: a. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meetsall ofthe specificationsdescribed on page 8.
b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill perfor-
mance may decrease and the walking belt may be-
come damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both
rear roller adjustment bolts countemlockwise, 1/4 of a
tum. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you
should be able to lift each sideof the walking belt 3to
4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep
the walking belt centered; Plug in the power cord, in-
sert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes.
Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. Rear Roller Adjustment Bolts

SOLUTION: a. If the walkingbelt is off-center, first remove the key
and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the walking
belt has shifted tothe left, use theallen wrenchto
tum the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if
the walking belt has shifted to the right, turnthe
boltcounterclockwise1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to
overtightenthe walking belt. Plug in the power cord,
insertthe key and run the treadmill for afew minutes.
Repeat untilthe walking belt is centered.

SOLUTION: a. With the key inserted in the console, press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is
changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insertthe key. The treadmill will automat!-
the incline.
