HSwitching the time display

To check the elapsed play time and the remaining play time:

Each time the TIME button is pressed during playback or pause, the display will change as described below.

See the diagram to the left.

1The elapsed play time for each track will be displayed.

2The remaining play time for the current track will be displayed.

3The total remaining play time for the disc from the point being played at that time will be displayed.

Notes:

IDuring random play, only the elapsed play time for each track will be displayed. The display cannot be switched.

IDepending on a CD or MD to be played, the play time display may not match the play time which is indicated on the CD or MD jacket, because the time between the tracks is not included.

To check the remaining amount of MD recording time and the recording date:

Each time the DISPLAY button is pressed during playback, the display will change as described below.

See the diagram to the left.

1Track names are displayed using standard size characters.

2One track name is displayed using extra large characters.

3The level meter is displayed.

4The remaining amount of recording time is displayed.

5The recording date is displayed.

Notes:

IIf an MD does not contain disc name or any track names, no names will be displayed.

IFor playback-only MDs or MDs recorded with a unit which cannot record the recording date, the number of recorded tracks, the remain- ing recording time and the recording date will not be displayed.
