HTo set up the timer for recording
1While in the stop mode, press the TIMER/DELETE button.
2Within 10 seconds, press theoron the MULTI CONTROL button to select "TIMER SET". Then, press the ENTER button.
3Within 10 seconds, press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select "REC".
IEach time the button is pressed, the display will alternate between "PLAY" and "REC".
IIf a radio station has been stored in memory when "REC" is selected, "TUNER
4Within 10 seconds, press the on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the position where the start time hour ("ON")
flashes. Then, press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to adjust the hour.
5Press the on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the position where the start time minutes flash. Then, press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to adjust the minutes.
IWhen the button is held down, the time will change in increments of 5 minutes.
6Adjust the hour and minute for the stop time ( "OFF") using the same procedure as described in steps 5 - 8 above.
7Press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the position where the sound source flashes. Then, press the
or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the sound source you want to record from.
IIf no radio stations have been stored in memory, "TUNER" will not appear.When "TUNER" has been selected:

the MULTI CONTROL button (the flashing area moves), press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the location number of the radio station you want to record from.
8Press the on the MULTI CONTROL button to select the VOLUME position on the LCD. The current volume level (0 -
10) will flash. Then, press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to adjust the volume level (0 - 10) as required.
IWhen the preset time is reached, the volume will increase gradually up to the preset volume level.
9After making all required settings, press the ENTER button.
IThe timer recording settings are now complete. These settings will be stored in memory until changed. Then, set all items as required. For details on settings, see "Performing timer recording" on page 41.
Stopping timer recording in the middle:
Press any button other than the MULTI CONTROL button or the ENTER button.
