HSleep operation

The radio, compact disc and MiniDisc can all be turned off automatically.

1Play the desired sound source.

2Press the TIMER/DELETE button.

3Press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select "SLEEP SET".

4Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

IThe time last stored in memory will appear.

IIf you wish to use the displayed time, press the ENTER button.

The unit will be turned off automatically after the preset sleep time has elapsed.

5 Within 10 seconds, set the sleep time using the MULTI CONTROL button.

IThe setting time is changed in 5-minute increments between 2 hours and 5 minutes, or 1 minute increments between 5 minutes and 1 minute.

6Press the ENTER button.

Notes:

IOnce the sleep time is set, it will remain the same until the setting is changed.

IThis sleep functions of this unit cannot be used to control equipment connected to this unit. You must use the sleep functions of the other equipment, if it has them.

To confirm or change the sleep timer setting:

1While in the sleep mode, press the TIMER/DELETE button.

2Press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select "SLEEP REMAIN".

3Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

IThe current remaining time will appear, then after 5 seconds the display will return to its original appearance.

To change the remaining sleep time:

1Perform steps 1 - 2 above.

2Change the time using the MULTI CONTROL button.

3Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

To cancel the sleep operation:

If the power is turned on, the sleep will be canceled.

The timer operation can also be canceled as follows if the power cannot be turned off during recording.

1While in the sleep mode, press the TIMER/DELETE button.

2Press the or on the MULTI CONTROL button to select "SLEEP OFF".

3Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

IThe sleep operation will be canceled. ( "SLEEP" will disappear.)
