DAB1 DISTRIBUTED AUDIO SYSTEM

Programming a K2 Keypad to

Activate PARTY MODE in a DAB1

System

Note: These instructions are for

using the Navigator Program

Manager software (included with

the K2 Keypad) to program the K2

keypad for Party Mode control of

a DAB1 system.

1. Launch the Navigator Control Manager

software. If you have already created a

System File for the system, open it. If

not, create a new System file that

includes a K2 keypad (see

Figure 79

).

2. Select the MACRO EDIT tool at the bottom

of the screen.

3. Click on the top SOURCE button to program

it. This will open the MACRO EDITOR

window (see F

igure 80

).

4. Click on the SELECT NEW REMOTE button.

Find the IR codes for the Sonance

DAB1 and click “OK”. The MACRO

EDITOR window will return, with the

DAB1’s IR codes displayed in the IR

COMMAND window.

5. In the COMMAND TYPE drop-down box,

select BUTTON TEST. Click the HELD-

DOWN option and set the time to 1.5

seconds (see

Figure 81

, opposite).
