Recording a picture

Yourcamcorderautomaticallyfocusesforyou. (1) Removethelenscapbypressingbothknobs onitssidesandattachthelenscaptothegrip

strap.

(2) Installthepowersourceandinsertacassette. See“Step1”and“Step2”formore information(p.12to19).

(3) Set the POWER switch to CAMERA while pressingthesmallgreenbutton.Your camcorderissettothestandbymode.

(4) Press START/STOP. Your camcorder starts recording.TheRECindicatorappears.The camerarecordinglamplocatedonthefrontof yourcamcorderlightsup.

To stop recording, press START/STOP again. Therecordinglamplightsupinthe viewfinderduringrecording.
