Mode dial:

This function protects images against accidental erasure. Note that when you format a “Memory Stick” (page 40), all the images recorded on that “Memory Stick” will be deleted even if they are protected.

aSet the mode dial to .

bDisplay the image you want to protect with b/B.cPress MENU.

The menu appears.

dSelect [PROTECT] with b/B, then press z.

The displayed image is protected. The - (protect) indicator appears on the image.

eTo continue and protect other images, select the desired image with b/B and select [PROTECT] with v, then press z.

To cancel the protection

Press z again in step 4or 5. The - indicator disappears.

In index (nine-image) modeaSet the mode dial to , thenpress to display the index (nine-image) screen.

bPress MENU.

The menu appears.

cSelect [PROTECT] with b/B, then press z.dSelect [SELECT] with b/B, then press z.eSelect the image you want to protect with v/V/b/B, then press z.

The green - indicator appears on the selected image.
