Troubleshooting
If you have trouble with your camera, try
the following solutions.
1Check the items on pages 82 to 88. If the
screen or the display window
shows C:ss:ss, the self-
diagnostics function is working.
Please see page90.
2Press the RESET button (pages 9, 11,
13) on the bottom of the camera, then
turn on the power again. (This will erase
the date/time settings, etc.)
3Consult your Sony dealer or local
authorized Sony service facility.

Batteries and Power

The battery remaining
indicator is incorrect. Or
the sufficient battery
remaining indicator is
displayed but the power
soon runs out.
You have used the camera for a long time in an
extremely hot or an extremely cold location.
The batteries are dead (page 101).
The batteries are discharged.
A mismatch has occurred in the remaining
battery time information.
pReplace the batteries with a new one.
pInstall a charged batteries (page14).
pFully charge the batteries (page15).
The battery runs down too
quickly. You are recording/playing back images in an
extremely cold location.
The batteries are not charged enough.
The batteries are dead (page 101).
pFully charge the batteries (page14).
pReplace the batteries with a new one.
The power cannot be
turned on. The batteries are not installe d correctly.
The AC power adaptor is disconnected. pInstall the batteries correctly (page17).
pConnect it securely to your camera (page19).
The power turns off
suddenly. If you do not operate the camera for about 90
seconds while the power is on, the camera turns
off automatically to prevent wearing down the
battery (when [POWER SAVE] is [OFF], after
three minutes.) (page20).
The batteries are discharged.
pTurn on the power again (page20).
pReplace it with a charged battery (page14).
