	Re-inserting the floppy disk drive
User	To re-insert the floppy disk drive, proceed as follows:
Notebook	1	Turn off the computer.
	2	If another device is in the multipurpose bay, remove the device.
	3	Insert the floppy disk drive into the multipurpose bay with the metallic part up.
Sony	4	Continue pushing the drive into the bay until the release lever locks into place.
	Using the Net MD Bay unit

Net MD is the next generation in MiniDisc technology. It further expands the MiniDisc format by allowing direct PC-to-MD ‘drag and drop’ transfers. Using your computer, you can transfer audio files, edit MiniDisc tracks, and more. The Net MD interface converts digital audio files into ATRAC or ATRAC3, so you can play MiniDiscs recorderd with Net MD on other MiniDisc units.

To attach the Net MD MiniDisc, proceed as follows:

1If another device is in the multipurpose bay, remove the device.

2Set up the tilt stands on the bottom of the computer.

3Slide the Net MD MiniDisc in the direction of the arrow until it clicks into place.
