C: Satellite set top box setting

Set your recorder to control channels of a connected satellite set top box. (DSS set top box control function)

This setting is only for users who connect a DSS set top box.

If you selected “Yes” at step 5 on page 34, you do not need to do this setting. Skip to “D: Output sound setting” ( page 44).

STEP 2: Configuring for Cable

You have indicated that you have cable service. Now the TV Guide On Screen system needs some additional information.
