Playing back a tape

In the various playback modes

•The previous recording may appear as a mosaic image when playing back in the Digital8 system.

•Noise may appear when your camcorder plays back tapes recorded in the Hi8 / standard 8 mmsystem.

•Sound is muted.

When the playback pause mode lasts for a certain period *

Your camcorder automatically stops. To resume playback, press N.

Note on the slow playback mode in Digital8 system

The slow playback can be performed smoothly on your camcorder, however, this function does not work for an output image from the DV jack.

If slow playback lasts for about one minute

Your camcorder automatically returns to normal speed playback.

When you play back a tape recorded in the LP mode

Noise may appear on the LCD screen in the following cases:

–slow playback

–playback pause

–picture search
