Notes on formatting

•Formatting erases all folders.

•Formatting erases all images even if they are protected.

•The supplied “Memory Stick” has been formatted at factory. Formatting the “Memory Stick” on your camcorder is not required.*2)

•Do not do any of the following while the FORMATTING indicator is displayed:

–Switch the POWER switch

–Operate buttons

–Eject the “Memory Stick”

–Remove the power source

•You cannot format the “Memory Stick” if the write-protect tab on the “Memory Stick” is set to LOCK.

•Format the “Memory Stick” when “ FORMAT ERROR” is displayed.
