Setting the timer manually
If the ShowView system is not available in your area, follow the instructions below to set the timer to record programmes.
Before you start…
•Check that the VCR clock is set to the correct time and date.
•Insert a tape with its safety tab in place. Make sure the tape is longer than the total recording time.
•To record from a decoder, turn it on.
•Turn on your TV and set it to the video channel.
•Set OPTIONS PROGRAMM. to NORMALE or MIXTE in the
•Refer to “Index to parts and controls” for button locations.

•When you set OPTIONS PROGRAMM. to MIXTE: The METHODE DE PROGRAMMATION menu appears on the TV screen. Press M/m to select NORMALE, then press OK.
•When you set OPTIONS PROGRAMM. to NORMALE: The MINUTERIE menu appears on the TV screen.
