yLIGNE-1 (TV)

1 ... Connect the aerial to ANTENNE ENTREE of the VCR.

2 ... Connect ANTENNE SORTIE the aerial input of your TV using the supplied aerial cable.

3 ... For better picture and sound, connect LIGNE-1 (TV) to your TV using a PERITEL cable if your TV has a PERITEL connector.

4 ... Connect the mains lead to the mains.

2Tuning your TV to the VCR

CHAINE +/–

AIf your TV does not have a PERITEL connector

1 ... Press I/1 (marche/veille) to turn on the VCR.

2 ... Press REGL CANAL on the VCR lightly.

3 ... Turn on your TV and select a programme position for the VCR picture.

4 ... Press REGL CANAL.

5 ... Press CHAINE +/– to select the TV system (“G” for B/G, “L” for L).

6 ... Tune the TV to the same channel shown in the VCR display window so that MAGNETOSOPE SONY appears clearly on the TV screen. Refer to your TV’s instruction manual for tuning instructions.

7 ... Press REGL CANAL.

BIf your TV has a PERITEL connector

1 ... Press I/1 (marche/veille) to turn on the VCR.

2 ... Press REGL CANAL on the VCR lightly.

3 ... Press CHAINE +/– to set the RF channel to OFF.

4 ... Press REGL CANAL.

3Using the Auto Set Up function

REGLAGE AUTO

You can preset channels

Hold down REGLAGE AUTO for three seconds.

When all the receivable channels are preset, “SET UP” disappears from the display window. You can rearrange the programme position to your favourite order (see “Changing/disabling programme positions”).

Note

The Auto Set Up function may require a long time to complete (approximately 15 to 18 minutes).

Now you can operate your VCR.
