Tuner Operations
2Select “ FM” or “ AM” from
the menu, then press or b.
The FM or AM menu list appears on the
TV screen.
1Select “Auto Tuning”, then
press or b.
2Press V/v.
Press V to scan from lower to higher
frequency stations, press v to scan from
higher to lower stations.
The receiver stops scanning whenever a
station is received.

In case of poor FM stereo

reception

1Tune in the station you want to listen to
using Auto Tuning, Direct Tuning
(page 63), or select the preset station you
want (page 64).
2Press TOOLS/OPTIONS.
3Select “FM Mode”, then press or b.
4Select “MONO”, then press .
You can enter the frequency of a station
directly by using the numeric buttons.
1Select “Direct Tuning”, then
press or b.
2Press SHIFT, then press
numeric buttons to enter the
frequency.
Example 1: FM 102.50 MHz
Select 1 b 0 b 2 b 5 (b 0*)
Example 2: AM 1,350 kHz
Select 1 b 3 b 5 b 0
* Press 0 for Mexico model only.
Tip
Adjust the direction of the AM loop antenna
(aerial) for optimum reception upon tuning to
an AM station.
3Press .

If you cannot tune to a station

“– – – .– – MHz” or “– – – – kHz” appears and
then the screen returns to the current
frequency.
Make sure you have entered the right
frequency. If not, repeat step 2. If you still
cannot tune to a station, the frequency may not
be in use in your area.
You can change the AM tuning scale to either
9 kHz or 10 kHz using the buttons on the
receiver.
1Press ?/1 to turn off the
receiver.
2While holding down INPUT
MODE, press ?/1 on the
receiver.
The current AM tuning scale is changed
to 9 kHz (or 10 kHz).
To reset the scale to 10 kHz (or 9 kHz),
repeat the procedure above.
Notes
Depending on the settings, the receiver may take
some time to change the AM tuning scale.
All preset stations will be erased when you change
the tuning scale.
