•Check that the components are connected correctly.

•When recording from a digital component, make sure the INPUT MODE is set to ANALOG 2CH FIXED (see page 26) before recording with a component connected to the analog MD/DAT or TAPE terminals
•When recording from a digital component, make sure the INPUT MODE is set to COAXIAL FIXED or OPTICAL FIXED (see page 26) before recording with the component connected to the DIGITAL MD/DAT OUT terminals
To connect an LD player via an RF demodulator.
•Connect the LD player to the RF demodulator, then connect the RF demodulator’s optical or coaxial digital output to the receiver’s DVD/LD OPTICAL IN or COAXIAL jack. When making this connection, be sure to set INPUT MODE manually (see page 26). The receiver may not operate correctly if INPUT MODE is set to AUTO 2CH.

•Check that the antennas are connected securely. Adjust the antennas and connect an external antenna if necessary.
•The signal strength of the stations is too weak (when tuning in with automatic tuning). Use direct tuning.
•Make sure you set the tuning interval correctly (when tuning in AM stations with direct tuning).
•No stations have been preset or the preset stations have been cleared (when tuning by scanning preset stations). Preset the stations (see page 40).
•Press DISPLAY so that the frequency appears in the display.
RDS does not work.*
•Make sure that you’re tuned to an FM RDS station.
