Step 6: Adjusting the speaker levels and balance

Use the remote while seated in your listening position to adjust the level of each speaker.

2 Rotate VOLUME on the receiver clockwise.

5 Press the TEST TONE button on the remote.

You will hear the test tone from each speaker sequentially.

6 Adjust the LEVEL parameters so that the level of the test tone from each speaker sounds the same when you are in your main listening position.

To adjust the balance and level of speakers, press the black MAIN MENU button repeatedly until LEVEL appears on the display, press / to select the parameter that you want to adjust (page 45), and then

press / to select the setting.

7 Press the TEST TONE button on the remote again to turn off the test tone.

Tip

You can adjust the level of all the speakers at the same time. Rotate VOLUME on the system or press VOLUME +/– on the remote.

Notes

The front balance, centre level, surround level, and subwoofer level are shown on the display during adjustment.

To enjoy better sound quality, do not turn the volume of the subwoofer too high.
