Mode switch

 Set the mode switch to , and turn on the power.

When shooting pictures with the camera, be careful so that your ﬁngers do not block the lens portion, ﬂash emitter or microphone. (page 10)

Hold the camera steadily with both hands and position the subject in the center of the focus frame.

•The minimum focal distance to a subject is approx. 50 cm (19 3/4 inches). To shoot subjects at distances closer than this, use the close-ups (Macro) mode (page 35).

•The frame indicated on the LCD screen shows the focus adjustment range (AF range ﬁnder, page 57).
