Warning indicators and messages

If indicators and messages appear on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder, check the following:

Slow flashing:

The file is corrupted.

The file is unreadable.

You are trying to use the MEMORY MIX function on a moving picture.*1) (p. 124)

•“Memory Stick” is not formatted correctly (p. 180).

The “Memory Stick” data is corrupted. (p. 105)

EThe battery is dead or nearly dead

Slow flashing:

•The battery is nearly dead.

Depending on the operating conditions, environment and battery condition, the E indicator may flash even if there are approximately five to 10 minutes remaining.

%Moisture condensation has occurred*2)

Fast flashing:

•Eject the cassette, turn off your camcorder, and leave it for about one hour with the cassette compartment open (p. 202).

No cassette with cassette memory is inserted (p. 194).

Warning indicator as to “Memory Stick”*1)

Slow flashing:

No “Memory Stick” is inserted.

Fast flashing*2):

The “Memory Stick” is not readable on your camcorder (p. 105).

The image cannot be recorded on a “Memory Stick”.

Slow flashing:

The tape is near the end.

No tape is inserted.*2)

The write-protect tab on the cassette is exposed (red)*2) (p. 25).

Fast flashing:

The cassette has run out of tape.*2)

ZYou need to eject the cassette*2)

Slow flashing:

•The write-protect tab on the cassette is exposed (red) (p. 25).

Fast flashing:

Moisture condensation has occurred (p. 202).
