Using Your VAIO Computer

To connect to a wireless network

1Make sure an access point is set up.

See the manual that came with your access point for more information.

2Double-click on the taskbar to display the Wireless Device Switch window.

3Select your desired wireless option and click OK. The Wireless LAN indicator lights up.

4Click Start and Control Panel.

5Click View network status and tasks under Network and Internet.

6Click Manage wireless networks.

7Click Add.

8Follow the on-screen instructions.

To disconnect from a wireless network

1Double-click on the taskbar to display the Wireless Device Switch window.

2Deselect the wireless option and click OK.

Turning off the wireless LAN functionality while accessing remote documents, files, or resources may result in data loss.
