Troubleshooting

The following checklist will help you remedy problems you may encounter with your unit. Before going through the checklist below, check the connection and operating procedures.

General

No power is being supplied to the unit.

The power connection has not been made correctly.

,Check the connection. If everything is in order, check the fuse.

The car does not have an ACC position.

,Press (SOURCE) on the main unit repeatedly.

If the unit is turned off and the display disappears, it cannot be operated with the remote commander.

,Turn on the unit.

Stored stations and correct time are erased.

The fuse has blown.

Makes noise when the position of the ignition key is switched.

The leads are not matched correctly with the car’s accessory power connector.

The display disappears from/does not appear in the display window.

The dimmer is set to “Dimmer On” (page 34).

The display disappears if you press and hold (OFF).

,Press (SOURCE) on the main unit repeatedly.

The connectors are dirty (page 51).

The display does not respond to your touch correctly.

Touch one part of a screen at a time. If two or more parts are touched simultaneously, the display does not operate correctly.

Adjust the touch point of the display (page 36).

Picture

There is no picture/picture noise appears.

A connection has not been made correctly.

Check the connection to the connected equipment, and set the input selector of the equipment to the source corresponding to this unit.

The disc is dirty, flawed, or deteriorated.

The unit is installed at an angle of more than 30°.

The unit is not installed in a sturdy part of the car.

The parking cord (light green) is not connected to the parking brake switch cord, or the parking brake is not applied.

Picture does not fit in the screen.

The aspect ratio is fixed on the DVD.

The picture does not appear in the rear monitor.

The source/mode which is not connected is selected. If there is no input, no image will be displayed in the rear monitor.

The image of the back camera is displayed in the front monitor. When the front monitor displays the image of the back camera, no image is output into the rear monitor.
