8GoldMike MK2
Rear Panel/Connections
Mic Input 1/2
Dynamic, condenser or tube microp hones can be connected to
the Mic inputs. The 48 V switch provides the phantom power
necessary for some micropho nes (see also „Control Elemen ts/
Phantom“ on p age 11) .
Alternatively the GoldMike MK2 can be equipped with opti on-
ally available transformer input s from Lundahl (see “Lundahl
Transform ers“ on p age 22).
Line In 1/2
The unbalanced Line Inputs are dedic ated to high-imped-
ance, high-level signals such a s A/D converters, synthesizers
or samplers with an impedance of less than 1 kOhm. Signals
with an impedance of above 1 kOhm, e. g. instruments like
E bass, acoustic guitars with p ickups or Fender Rhodes mus t be
connected to the Instrument Input o n the front panel.
The max. input level of the Line Inpu ts is +23 dB.
IMPORTANT: The Line Input is deac tivated as l ong as an instru -
ment is plugged into Instrument Input jack on the front. We
recommend connecting the Line Input to a pa tchbay if sources
need to be c hanged r egular ly.
Inserts 1/2
The balanced TRS Insert conn ectors (Send and Return) are
used to integrate further unit s (EQs, Compressors, Limiters,
Effects ...) into the sig nal path of the GoldMike MK2. The Send
connector is placed behind the tube s tage and can also be
used as direct out (without o utput level control). The Return
connector is located in front of Limi ter and Output control wh ich
allows to control the output level, e. g. f or precise drive level of
following A/D converters.
