ALI M5281 SATA3/SATA4 Driver Installation

ALI M5281 SATA3/SATA4 DRIVER

INSTALLATION

You can use your ALi M5281 (SATA3/SATA4) as

1.Normal IDE function.

2.RAID function. (RAID0, 1)

To use SATA3 and SATA4 as normal IDE, please do the following steps

1.

Go to the CMOS setup

SOYO COMBO Feature and set the

 

“Onboard SATA/PATA 3,4” to “Enable”.

Go to the CMOS setup

BOOT CONFIGURATION SETUP

 

BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY

3.Set the ”First Boot Device” to “SCSI Card”

4.Install the ALi 5281 driver. See driver installation instruction below.

To use SATA3 and SATA4 as RAID controller, please do the following steps

1.Connect 2 SATA hard disk on SATA3 and SATA4.

Go to the CMOS setup

SOYO COMBO Feature and set the

 

“Onboard SATA/PATA 3,4” to “Enable”.

3.

Go to the CMOS setup

BOOT CONFIGURATION SETUP

 

BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY.

4.Set the “First Boot Device” to “SCSI Card”.

5.Press “Ctrl+A” when the Ali M5281 BIOS summary screen appears.

6.Create a disk array, check appendix A for create instructions.

7.Install the ALi M5281 driver. See driver installation instruction below.
