Filling of water and switching on your Café Barista

Prior to switching on each time, check whether the water reservoir is filled with water. Every time the appliance is switched on or off, it needs water for the Auto Clean cycle.

Filling the appliance

Slide out and remove the water reservoir from the appliance. See figure 5.

Fill the water reservoir always with fresh, cold water. See figure 6.

Note: Fill only cold water into the water reservoir. Never fill with other liquids, such as mineral water or milk.

Replace the water reservoir. Slide the water reservoir in and press firmly into place to ensure that the valve of the water reservoir opens. See figure 7.

Note: If the water reservoir is not correctly in position or if water needs to be refilled while the espresso machine is in operation, the water indicator illuminates. Making coffee will not be possible or the cycle will be interrupted.

Switching on the appliance

Turn the power on at the power outlet and switch the espresso machine on by briefly pressing the ‘POWER’ button on the control panel. See figure 8.

Note: Please note that you only need to briefly press the ‘POWER’ button and that there is a slight delay until the light comes

on.
