MAKING CHANGES TO THE MAIL MENU

NOTE: The settings in this menu relate
directly to setting up the DVR to connect
to a network for remote and online
viewing. If the DVR is not correctly set
up to the network, the settings in this
menu may be inaccurate or incomplete.
It is recommended to only adjust these
settings while setting up your DVR for
networking. For detailed information
on these settings and instructions on
how to properly set up your DVR for
networking, please refer to the DVR
NETWORKING GUIDE , pg.64.

MAKING CHANGES TO THE USER MANAGEMENT MENU

The USER MANAGEMENT menu allows you to
add additional user names and permission
levels for other people that you wish to
have access your DVR. Up to 7 dierent user
names can be added to the system and can
have their user ID, password, and permission
levels modied at any time. By default,
the DVR is congured with a user name of
ADMIN (belonging to the ADMIN group) and
a password of 1234. Any user can be deleted
except for the default ADMIN user.
NOTE: There are three dierent permission levels (groups):
ADMINThe highest level of access. ADMIN users have full control over the DVR settings, including live view settings, playing back
recorded footage, recording options, system management, and powering o.
MANAGER – Partial access. MANAGER users can adjust live view settings and play back recorded footage. MANAGER users can NOT access
any menus or recording options or power o the DVR.
USER – Minimal access. USER members can only view live footage and make adjustments to the live view settings. USER members can
NOT play back recorded footage, access any menus or recording options, or power o the DVR
