Problem Cause Solution
EDA cannot find any
Bluetooth devices
nearby.
Too far from other
Bluetooth devices. Move closer to the other Blueto oth device( s), within a r ange of 10 meters.
The Bluetooth devic e( s)
nearby are not turned on. Turn on the Bluetooth device(s) to find.
The Bluetooth devic e( s)
are not in discoverable
mode.
Set the Bluetooth device(s) to discoverable mode. If needed,
refer to the device’s user docum en tation for help.
When trying to
connect a Bluetooth
phone and EDA, the
phone thinks a
previously paired
EDA is used.
The phone remembers the
name and address of the
EDA it last paired with via
the Bluetooth radio.
Manually delete the pairing device and name from the phone.
Refer to the phone’s user documentation for instructions.
Can’t make my
Ericsson R520 phone
discoverable.
Y ou attempted to bond with
the phone, and when the
phone presented a “pairing
query,” you entered No.
This prevents th e phone
from being discoverable
until it is reset.
Reset the phone by removing its battery.
There is a delay in the
Bluetooth stack
re-initializing during a
resume from
suspend.
This is normal behavior. No solution required.
