Bandwidth determines the
quality of the video picture. T he
system will, by default, connect
using Auto Bandwidth. This
means that the system will
establish a connection using a
proper bandwidth for your c all.
The typical bandwidth us ed
for IP calls is 384 kbps. When
bandwidth is set to Auto, the
unit will default to 384kbps.
The Net
alternatives are:
H.323 and SIP.
If a gatekeeper is present, you may
place IP-calls using “tel ephone-style”
numbers (an E.164 alias), according
to the numbering plan impleme nted
in the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper will
then translate the dialled numb er into
an IP-address (see H.323 Sett ings
in the Adminstrator’s Guide for mor e
information about gatekeep ers).
