Your TV might not properly re- ceive caption signals in the follow- ing situations.

Ignition: Black spots or horizontal streaks appear; picture flutters or drifts. Usually caused by interfer- ence from an automobile ignition system, neon lamps, drills, or oth- er electrical appliances.

Ghosts: Double images appear. Ghosts are caused by the televi- sion signal following two paths: the direct path and another reflected from a building, hill, or other object. Changing the direction or position of the antenna might improve the reception.

Snow: Small dots in the picture. If your TV is located at the fringe area of a television broadcast, where the signal is weak, you might need to install a special an- tenna to improve the picture.
