“Trimming” the increment time
It is also possible to move the track increment time
backwards and forwards by up to 125 frames either
before or after the received track division signals (in
the same way as for sync recording as described in
““Trimming ” the sync” on page 35.
1Press the MENU key (2) and turn the MULTI
DIAL to display RECMENU 2 ?.
2Press the MULTI DIAL.
3Turn the MULTI DIAL until the display shows
INC TRIM ?.
4Press the MULTI DIAL.
5Turn the MULTI DIAL to change the INC_T
(sync trim) value between –125 frames and
+125 frames (in 1 frame steps).
6Press the MULTI DIAL to make the setting and
leave the menu.
Rec mute function
The rec mute function allows instant cut-off of the
input signal, and records silence on the disc.
1While recording is in progress, press the REC
MUTE key.
The display shows REC MUTE, the meters stop
displaying the current level and the moni-
tored sound is cut.
2After a set time (see below), the unit enters
record ready m ode.
Setting the REC MUTE time:
The time during which recording is muted before the
drive enters record ready after the REC MUTE key
has been pressed is set in the following way:
1Press the MENU key (2) and turn the MULTI
DIAL to display RECMENU 2 ?.
2Press the MULTI DIAL.
3Turn the MULTI DIAL until the display shows
REC MUTE TM ?.
4Press the MULTI DIAL.
5Turn the MULTI DIAL to change the MUTE_TM
(mute time) value between 1s and 10s (in 1
second steps).
6Press the MULTI DIAL to make the setting and
leave the menu.
Fade-in and fade-out
To provide smooth beginnings and endings to
recorded tracks, the unit provides fade facilities.
Fade-ins are from –∞ (silence) to the set input level
(“Signal volume” on page30) and fade-outs go from
the current input volume to silence.
The fade-in and fade-out times can be set indepen-
dently in increments of one second, from 1 second to
24 seconds.
To set the fade times:
1Press the MENU key (2) and turn the MULTI
DIAL to display RECMENU 1 ?.
2Press the MULTI DIAL.
3Turn the MULTI DIAL until the display shows
FADE IN TM? or FADEOUT TM? as appropriate.
4Press the MULTI DIAL.
5Turn th e MULTI DIAL to change the fade time
(FADE IN or FADE OUT) value between 1s and 24s
(in 1 second steps).
6Press the MULTI DIAL to make the setting and
leave the menu.
