For certain foods
•For foods which expand during cooking, such as rice, dehydrated vegetables, or stewed fruits, … do not fill your Pressure Cooker with contents of more than half the height of the body.
Do not attempt to fold the handles without pressing the release buttons.
Do not place your pressure cooker with the handles folded down onto a source of heat.

To place the handles in position for use
•Raise the handles until you hear them "click", locking them in place - Fig 8
When using for the first time
For models equipped with fixed handles:
•Turn the pan upside down to fit the handles. Place them in position, engage the screws and screw them up tightly.
•After using for a few days, tighten the screws again.
For models equipped with folding handles:
•Raise the handles until you hear them "click", locking them in place - Fig 8.
•Place the pressure regulator valve on the steam outlet and align one of the two symbols on the valve with the valve position index. Press down fully - Fig 9
•Turn to the “cook” position - Fig 10
•Put the steaming basket in the base of the pan.
•Fill 2/3 full with water.
•If your pressure cooker is delivered with a sachet of bicarbonate of soda, add its contents to the water. This avoids blackening of the aluminium.
Do not handle bicarbonate of soda near vitroceramic tops (risk of indelible stains).
