2.4.2 Connectingto your television
Betweenall the following connectors of the digital receiver, we
recommendyou to use the first connector to get best picture
quality. If your television does not have the matching connector,
then use the next connector in the following orderfor better
picturequality.
1. SCART connector (TV)
2. Composite connector (VIDEO)
3. RF connector (RF OUT)
Youshould configure audio and video settings after connecting
upthe digital receiver. See § 3.2 for detailed description.
Touse the SCART connector
Forbest results with a standard television set,
youshould use a SCART cable, plugging one
endinto the TV socket on the digital receiver
andthe other end into a free SCART socket
onyour television.
Sometelevisions have inputs via Component
connectoror S-Video connector rather than
SCART.
Ifyou have such a television, use an appropriate conversion ca-
bleto link the TV socket on the digital receiver to the matching
socketon your television.
Ifyou connect with a standard SCART cable, you do not have
tomake audio connections because the SCART connector can
outputstereo audio. Butif you use a conversion cable, such as
SCART-to-Component,you have to make audio connections.
