Chapter 5: Setting up your TV

Initial Setup

When you first turn on or reset the TV, the Initial Setup window will appear.

1In the Menu Language field, press C or c to select your preferred language and press OK .

2Next, the Local Time Setting window will appear. Press B or b to select Time Zone, set your desired time zone with C or c.

3Then, press B or b to select Daylight Saving Time. Press C or c to select On or Off, and press OK .

4Next, the Location setting window will appear. For normal home use, press C or c to select Home and press OK .

5Next, the ANT/CABLE In setup window will appear. Press B or b to highlight Cable or Antenna, and press OK to select the input.

Note: If you do not want to scan channels, you do not need to make a selection for ANT/CABLE. Highlight Next and press OK to skip this step.

6If you select Cable, and then highlight Next and press OK , channel scan will start. If you select Antenna, and then highlight Next and press OK , the Channel Tuning Mode setup window will appear. To tune only digital channels, select Digital. To tune digital channels preferentially over analog

when entering channel number directly, select Auto. For normal tuning, select Standard. Press

OK .

7Press OK to start Start Scan.

Note: If you want to stop scanning, press EXIT while scanning.

You can stop the Initial Setup with EXIT . However if you do not finish the entire Initial Setup process, the Initial Setup window will appear every time you turn on the TV.

Note: EXIT does not work until the settings of Menu Language/Time Zone/Location finish.

Quick Setup from the SETUP menu

You can conveniently change various basic TV settings from the Quick Setup item located under the SETUP menu.

1Press to open the SETUP menu.

2Press B or b to select Quick Setup and press OK .

3A confirmation message will appear on the screen, press C or c to select Yes and press OK .

4Other procedures are the same as Initial Setup (- left-hand column).

Selecting the menu language

You can choose from three different languages

(English, Français and Español) for the on-screen display of menus and messages.

1From the SETUP menu, highlight Menu Language.

2Press C or c to select your preferred language and press EXIT .
