Amplifier Volume and Mute controls

Chapter 6: Basic features

With your TV’s remote control, you can adjust or mute the sound volume of your amplifier. First, set the MODE SELECT switch to TV.

•z Z adjust the volume level.

• MUTE turns off the sound.

To use this function:

1From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight

REGZA-LINK Setup and press OK .

2Press B or b to highlight Speaker Preference.

3 Press C or c to select Amplifier.

Note: Confirm that a connected REGZA-LINK®device (such as DVD player, etc.) is selected for the Amplifier input source.

Note:

•You can also use this function when the amplifier is connected to the TV’s DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal (not HDMI connection). In this case, select a digital audio input mode on the amplifier.

•These functions depend on the device connected.

Other REGZA-LINK®functions

When Enable REGZA-LINKand each item in the REGZA-LINK Setup menu are set to On, the following functions will be enabled.

	Item	Description
	TV Auto	If a REGZA-LINK®device is turned on,
	Power	the TV turns on automatically.

		If the TV is turned off, the TV will send a
	Auto Standby	message to turn off all of the REGZA-
		LINK devices connected to the TV.

	Amplifier	If Amplifier Control is set to On, you can

To set the REGZA-LINK®Setup:

1From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight

2Press B or b to highlight Enable REGZA-LINK.

Note: If you set Enable REGZA-LINK to Off, the other items under REGZA-LINK Setup will be grayed out.

4Press B or b to highlight the REGZA-LINKsetup item you want to use, and press C or c to select On or the desired mode.

•TV Auto Power: On/Off

•Auto Standby: On/Off

•Amplifier Control: On/Off

•Speaker Preference: TV Speakers/Amplifier

REGZA-LINK®PC Link

This feature automatically sets suitable widescreen formats and picture preferences when the TV is connected to a REGZA-LINK®PC.

Note: This feature depends on the type of equipment connected.

From this item, you can set your audio output preference to the TV speakers or the amplifier. When this item is set to Amplifier, the remote control can be used to adjust or mute the volume of the

audio. This item will be grayed out and set to TV Speakers automatically unless

aREGZA-LINK®compatible audio receiver is connected.

Note: When you turn on the amplifier, change its input source, or adjust the sound volume, the sound will be output from the amplifier’s speakers even if TV Speakers has been selected. Turn the TV off and on again to output the sound from the TV speakers.
