Using the POP features (continued)

Switching the main and POP pictures

Press SWAP while the POP double-window is open to switch the main and POP pictures. Note: This feature is not available when viewing a digital source in the main window.

Freezing the main picture in the POP double-window

1.While the POP double-window is not open, press FREEZE. The POP window will open, displaying the main picture as a still picture.

2.Continue to press FREEZE repeatedly to refresh the still picture in the POP window, which acts as a slow “strobe” of the program in the main window.

Note: The FREEZE feature is not available when the POP window is already open. If you press FREEZE when the POP window is open, the message “Not available” will appear.

Still picture

To close the still POP window:

Press EXIT.

Adjusting the size of the main and POP pictures

You can adjust the size of the main and POP pictures in the double-window. Repeatedly press x or • to change the size. See notes at right.

Note:

The size of the POP double-window pictures cannot be adjusted for some signal formats.

The x button enlarges the main picture and reduces the POP picture.

The button reduces the main picture and enlarges the POP picture.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS ON TV PICTURE TUBE

Avoid displaying stationary images on your TV screen for extended periods of time. Fixed (non-moving) images (such as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray bars in wide-screen or PIP/POP formats) can become permanently engrained in the picture tube. This type of damage is NOT COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY because it is the result of misuse. See item 33 on page 4.
