Removing the battery from the computer

1Save your work.

2Power off the computer or place it in Hibernation mode

according to the instructions in “Using Hibernation” on

page 99.

3Remove all cables connected to the computer.

4Close the display panel and turn the computer upside

down.

5If the battery release lock is in the locked position, slide it

toward the unlocked position.

6Press the battery release latch to release the battery.

7Pull the discharged battery out of the computer.
